About the NI DPG
The NI DPG of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy) was formed in 2019. Nutrition informatics is the intersection of nutrition, information, and technology. Weaved into the daily tasks of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) and Nutrition and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (NDTRs), nutrition informatics encompasses electronic health records, standards and terminology, telehealth, patient/provider secure messaging, electronic discharge summaries/transitions of care, health information exchange, and more.
