There are a lot of ways to get involved with the Nutrition Informatics Dietetic Practice Group (NI DPG). One way is to run for an elected position!
NI DPG's Nominating Committee is looking for qualified candidates to run for the following positions within the DPG:
Chair-Elect
Brief Description: The Chair-Elect is responsible for assisting the Chair in meeting the goals and objectives set for the year. Further, the Chair-Elect will plan the Program of Work, budget, and appoint committee members for the following year. The person in this role becomes Chair upon completion of 1 year as Chair-Elect and becomes Past Chair upon completion of 1 year as Chair.
Term: 3 years [1 year as Chair-Elect; 1 year as Chair; 1 year as Past Chair]

Nominating Committee Chair-Elect
Brief Description: The Nominating Committee Chair-Elect is responsible for assisting the Nominating Committee Chair in soliciting and creating the NI DPG ballot to submit to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and oversees the nominating committee. The person in this role becomes Nominating Committee Chair upon completion of 1 year as Chair-Elect.
The runner up of this election serves as nominating committee member for one year.

Treasurer
Brief Description: The Treasurer assures that the money given to the NI DPG by the members/corporate sponsors is used appropriately. General tasks include processing payments, tracking income and expeditures, comparing actuals to the planned budget, and status reporting to the Executive Committee.
