Career Path

After changing direction in college from Computer Science to Dietetics, I always felt that the synergy between the two can improve. I have often encouraged use of and implemented software in most of my early positions in healthcare food management leadership. I enhanced clinical knowledge with software implementations of nutritional assessments in both positions in acute care and then long-term post-acute care, receiving an Innovator Award for my work at one organization to enhance department technology processes with software usage. In my current role, I manage the operations of the nutrition software team of developers, engineers and support. I teach/train and demonstrate the features related to nutrition in medical record software and provide subject matter expertise to enhance and develop a suite of products.

A Day in the Life

8:00 AM

Log on to team chat to begin day with staff. Discuss what daily agendas need addressed and confirm coverage for software support team in place.

9:00 AM

Customer training/ implementation or integration troubleshooting.

10:00 AM

Team WebEx to review software enhancement requests from customers, update directions of roadmap, review completed feature work prior release.

1:00 PM

Collaborate with Customer Advisory Committee for user experience needs. Develop marketing materials as subject matter expert.

4:00 PM

Customer sales demonstrations as scheduled.
